Chocolate Frosting – to Spread or Pour

- ½ cup (1 stick) salted butter
- 1 ½ cups white sugar
- 1 ¼ cups unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ¼ cups heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- teaspoon instant espresso powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Melt all ingredients together in order listed. Cook and stir until smooth. Let it cool a bit to spread or pour over cake/cupcakes immediately.
